President's
Award for Outstanding Performance
The President's Award for Outstanding Performance is an "award scheme" most recently established by the University for the purpose of recognizing the outstanding performance of individual teaching colleagues in the specific areas of "Teaching", "Scholarly Work" or "Service"; promoting excellence in performance standards and encouraging colleagues to press on for greater achievements. Although it is an "award scheme" established by the University, individual Faculties/Schools have been given the flexibility to implement the scheme at their own pace, devise internal guidelines and to present awards in all three or any one/two of the performance areas. For the year 2000/2001, the School of Business, School of Chinese Medicine and the School of Continuing Education have not made any recommendations for the award and the School of Communication has decided to give out awards only in "Teaching".
Congratulations to a total of sixteen colleagues from the Faculties of Arts, Science, Social Sciences and the School of Communication who have made significant contributions to the University in their respective areas!
