Dr. Candy Ho stands out as a highly dedicated and self-motivated teacher with great passion for teaching. To her, teaching is about the use of one’s life to influence others’ lives. Dr. Ho is capable of fostering an inspiring learning environment to stimulate students’ interest in learning and to develop their key competencies. She adopts an interactive approach in her teaching endeavours with lively and innovative pedagogies. Students are highly appreciative of her enthusiasm in helping their knowledge development, intellectual enhancement and personal growth.
The contribution of Dr. Ho to the development of the Marketing Internship course is particularly praiseworthy. Apart from designing the course structure, learning outcomes and assessment method, Dr. Ho has secured over a hundred internship positions from a wide breadth of organisations since the 2010-11 academic year. The internship experience greatly enhanced students’ work-related skills and exposure to industry prior to their graduation. The development of the Marketing Internship course also contributed to the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) accreditation and helped to strengthen the image of the School of Business in the community.
Dr. Ho has attained an excellent classroom teaching performance as evidenced by the highly positive feedback she receives from students and the popularity of the courses she teaches. The following are some of the comments made by her students:

Dr. Ho is forthcoming in contributing to the teaching needs of the Department. With a good breadth of expertise, she is able to teach a wide range of subjects in the fields of business and marketing. Her supervision of postgraduate students is also noteworthy for being thorough and intellectually stimulating.
The Selection Committee is much impressed by Dr. Ho’s outstanding teaching performance, which is exemplary in many ways. Her untiring devotion to teaching excellence makes her a most deserving recipient of the President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching.
