Dr. Lam is the founding Head of the Department of Computer Science. Under his leadership the Department has been transformed from a service teaching unit into a department with vital research programs and degree programs at all levels. At all times, he shares his professional knowledge unselfishly with other offices, his devotion of time and effort has profound effect on the development of the University's IT infrastructure. Dr. Lam serves as member/chairman to numerous Faculty and University Committees. He is a very detailed and dedicated person: he perceives problems from different angles and helps solve them with wise solutions, his contribution is remarkable. Outside the University, he has well-established relationships with industry, institutions and community as a whole.
