Dr. MacKenzie is a scholar of diverse interests. Over the years with the University, he has produced an impressive array of scholarly articles and books, ranging from academic writings on Shakespeare, African literature and aspects of pedagogy in English Studies to creative works like novels and a play. His high productivity and good quality work have provided stimulation and inspiration to younger/budding scholars in his Department.

MacKenzie also receives President's
Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching.
