Dr. Chu has proved himself over the past several years as one of the best and most gifted teachers in the Language Centre. His teaching evaluation results have consistently been among the most impressive in the Centre. His excellence as a teacher is well attested in all the attributes of good teaching, including the two most difficult but crucial areas, i.e. the ability to stimulate students' interest in the subject and promote critical thinking. He brings to his teaching both a gift for language (as a scholar as well as a creative writer) and a passion for sharing it. The award is a recognition of his teaching talent and dedication.
