Dr. Leung is a committed teacher who is eager to share her knowledge of and experience in legal translation and interpreting with her students. She adopts a student-centred and interactive approach in her teaching. This approach is welcome by students as such methods are particularly effective in the mainly skill-oriented subjects she teaches. Through regular exercises and feedback, students sharpen their translating and language skills. Outside the classroom, Dr. Leung has spent much of her time listening to students' taped interpreting exercises (real time), marking students' translation projects, liaising with employers to get placement jobs for Year 3 students, organizing homecoming activities for these students during the placement year, working with students on interpreting projects, and updating materials for her own teaching. Her high teaching evaluation scores is a strong indication of students' positive response to her teaching.
