Dr. Wang is trained in Transport Studies and is well versed in quantitative analysis. His lectures are always well prepared and well structured. He is keen to update his lectures with latest developments and incorporate well thought-out exercises to the course materials. He can therefore attract students from other departments as well as outside faculty for courses in his areas of expertise. Dr. Wang has been praised for his enthusiasm and effective supervision of students' honours projects. Students under his supervision have produced high quality research outputs which are ready for conference presentation and journal publication. As a result, Dr. Wang was nominated as the best teacher by the Geography major and China Studies – Geography option undergraduates in a recent survey conducted by the Department in May 2001.
