Dr. Bian Zhao-xiang has assumed headship of the Clinical Division since its establishment in July 2001 and has been instrumental in steering the Division to its success today. His efforts in implementing a multitude of new initiatives such as opening new Chinese medicine clinics, creating a solid reputation for quality Chinese Medicine service, and achieving a healthy financial growth for the Division are commendable. The Chinese medicine clinics not only provide a useful and desirable learning environment for the students, but they also offer quality service to the wider public and the community. During the SARS period in 2003, Clinical Division made significant contributions to helping allay public fear from a Chinese medicine expert perspective. Apart from servicing the Clinical Division, Dr. Bian has taken up administrative duties and served as member of various committees within the School and the University. He is also appreciated for building links with the community and related government bodies in promoting Chinese medicine.
